I love that I can go to Grieve and say things like "I need the thingie that hooks to the handle on the toilet tank, and I need a new handle, too" and Dan can not only translate my talk of "thingies" and "widgets" into actual hardware names, he shows me the various types they have and the merits of each. He also tells me helpful things like "that is a left-handed nut" thereby saving much cursing and scowling on my part when I install the part at home. Today's project was replacing the afore-mentioned thingie that had suddenly broken (actually a toilet handle and handle arm) which I was able to successfully replace in 15 minutes! All by myself! Thank you Dan! :-)

Close by part time job. Very friendly and helpful. 95 % of the time has just what I need. Prices reasonable. Always go there first when I need things from a bolt to having a key made.

Had some screens made here and the guy that made them did an excellent job. Between my measurements and his skill and knowledge, he made them perfect. If you need screens made this is the place to go.

This store is my go-to place for odds and ends I can’t find anywhere else. They are terrific at helping me replace nuts & bolts, finding the perfect power strip, and other assorted items. They are close, convenient, and very helpful! Keep up the great work!!

No matter what I've needed they always have it. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I might be a bit of a hardware geek but I love this place. If you go into a big box store it may take you 10 minutes or more to find someone to help you. At Greive it may take you 10 seconds. Plus I love to shop local. One more thing, you can get your knives sharpen for about a dollar apiece.

Great shop and all 3 young gentlemen were extremely helpful today. Plus it was awesome seeing these young men be so responsible and attentive to the store. Whether it be stocking or making sure customers were taken care of. Keep up the great work guys!!

Great store. Friendly service. You’re greeted at the door with a smiling face asking if they can help you find anything. The place is small but has everything. They also sharpen knives - 10 for $10

I was in the store earlier tonight. Walked in with my 2 year old little boy, about 6:45pm (I’m new to dayton area, didn’t know the store was closing at 7), but needed Sand for a new patio umbrella. And their employee Hank was the biggest help & not only a huge help but a genuine sweetheart. He filled the actual bags up with sand for me, which was a huge help, dollied them out to my car, and loaded them up. We was so nice, even made small talk with my little 2 year old and gave him a sucker!!! Just a really nice Young man, and great customer service!!!

Came here to get a very broken screen frame replaced. The guys working were so nice, and they were even able to repair it for me instead of replacing it which saved me money.
